Umm Kulthum Bint Al Rasoul Mixed Secondary School is located in the village of Howwara located in Irbid Governorate. It comes under the responsibility of the Directorate of Education for Qasabet Irbid.
This school caters for students from kindergarten level to 12th grade. The school consists of 3 floor levels. It accommodates 730 students, 44% of which are Syrians, and replaced 1 existing double-shift school within the area. Funding for Umm Kulthum Bint Al Rasoul Mixed Secondary School is through the European Union.
Umm Kulthum Bint Al Rasoul Mixed Secondary School site was handed over on July 20th, 2022. The construction work commenced on September 22nd, 2022. The completed school was handed over to the Ministry of Education on May 29th, 2024. The school was renamed to Umm Kulthum Bint Al Rasoul Mixed Secondary School from its former name, Howwara Secondary Mixed School, once the Ministry of Education received the school keys on the handover date.
